Kiaora! Welcome to SH12 -Ae, there's 2 of us.  We are Sandy-Lee and Kara 

We’re a funny little team. Funny because we laugh a lot and lead unusual lives and make up our own adventures non- stop. We think we have the best life and are constantly reinventing it.

Sandy-Lee is Te Arawa on her dads side and Nga Puhi (Te Hikitu from Whirinaki and Whangapae) on her mothers. She comes from a Film Industry, Arts Administration, Chefing and Social Work background, is super practical, loves to catch any kind of kai moana, is a keen gardener and does a mean bit of DJ 'ing on the side.

Kara is Tangata Tiriti and comes from a million different jobs including working lots in the arts running her own and other peoples galleries for years. She consistently yearns to fit all of her old clothes from the 80’s, loves cats but they eat birds and lizards so can’t have one and is a forever still discovering her superpower.

We live in Omapere in Hokianga- But we also spend a bit of time in Whangarei and Tāmaki also with whanau- and the moko!! We live in paradise- Hokianga is the best place ki te ao katoa! And we make things, all sorts of things. They usually have some kind of up-cycled aspect, whether that's with using old blankets, piano pieces, opp shop finds or stuff we find in our shipping container out the back. We sell our treasure through a few galleries here in te Norta, but also like to sell things through here.
